Tulipgirl6's Journal, 27 February 2014

So, I've been doing 2 experiments: 1 - I have been watching what I eat but not logging it. I hate logging what I eat. It's annoying. I am still counting my carbs / fruits etc . .. . but counting weighing typing it in is annoying. On the last very high day I logged everything; I still want to make sure I don't go over, but I want to teach myself to live and eat without being crazy . .. 2 - I have added complex carbs in the form of beans, lentils, black rice . . . .

And also I did not lose weight on this weekly weigh in. Although I cut back on some supplements as well. And I haven't been drinking as much water . . . .

174.0 lb Lost so far: 64.0 lb.    Still to go: 14.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I'm a huge believer in experimenting & as I've said ad nauseum, we are each a study of one. I'm into the logging right now, but completely understand your point of not wanting to drive yourself crazy… too much time on my hands, or at least a distraction at times for me! I've often thought of myself as a lab rat as I experiment my way through this healthy eating & living way of life! xoxox

For some it keeps us aware instead of doing things mindlessly. Doesn't work for everyone

I used to only worry about my exercise and did not log my food. It wasn't until I logged my food and saw how bad I was eating that I began to make better choices. I know how boring it is to log your food. I do it on the website of my armband, so I don't log my food here at FS.
