Well, what can I say. I'm needing to push the envelope a bit to get past this 169-170 thing. I think I'll challenge myself a little bit. Here goes... when I get to 166, I will buy myself a new scale! That sounds good. And that's only 4 little pounds. Come to think of it, that's a 4 lb. bag of sugar. That's nothin' to sneeze at! Okay, I'm going to break through you guys. I need to walk more, paint more, eat more vegies and less carbs.

I'm realizing something. I'm actually doing what I always do. As soon as I can eat carbs I eat so much more than I should. I'm only suppose to have one carb (like 1/2 a muffin or 1 slice of wh. wheat toast or 1/2 a sweet potato) a day. I've been really allowing myself too much. Back to South Beach recipes. I need to eat right. More vegies. More fruit shakes! Less or maybe NO WHEAT! Maybe wheat is the problem. I'm going to eliminate wheat again and see if it helps. I'll allow myself brown rice, oats, or quinoa.

NOW let's see how long it takes to lose 4 little lbs... Anyone on board for a week without wheat??? Please? Just a week?

It is hard when you add back in carbs, even the good ones, to not go overboard. I am the same way. When i get to add back in ww bread, i will eat a sandwich rather than all the veggies I was eating prior to phase 2. We just need to make the veggies a priority and a carb here and there a treasured treat! Keep up the good work!

Just wanting to post that I checked this out. You have a point with the carbs. I went quite a while with fewer of them, but then snuck them back in also without even realizing it. I will try to switch to a fruit or veggie as much as possible. I remember a Suzanne Somers (sp?) suggestion for a sandwich between two peices of lettuce. I have been having a ham sandwich on two large hint of lime tortilla chips. I know - not as good as lettuce - but you get the idea. If I have a regular sandwich, I can certainly cut the bread down to one slice. Two whole wheat slices always feels like too much anyway. You are an inspiration, lovely sister. -k
