Day 47 (Week 6): 10 TO 30 POUNDS BY November OR BUST

Week 1 Cruise to Lose! we are almost to Turkey! Smell that wonderfully warm Mediterranean Ocean Breeze.

Good Morning!!! Smooth sailing to all (even those not out on the ocean with us!)! I hope this day finds all of you wonderful, health-minded, lovely FS peoples all well and working towards your fantastic healthy goals!!


I had a good jump start on my exercise goals for THIS week, yesterday. I walked 20 minutes (1.08 miles) at lunch and 15-20 minutes (.86 miles) after work between work and my meeting.

Old Man Scale was on an even keel today. Not up, not down, but I can live with that. I really would like to see a drop tomorrow before my trip, though! AND for the Cruise to Lose official weigh-in! Weighing in tomorrow then on the 20th. It's going to be hard NOT being in control after being in control for so long! Well I CAN control what I eat and how much I move. I did this trip last year and there will be SOME time for walking and stuff, I need to just do it. Will be in a hotel Thursday evening before we go to the retreat itself on Friday so I should check out the gym while I am there!

I BARELY squeaked by for my self-imposed carb limit yesterday. I have dropped my goal to 160 and I had just under 170 yesterday. I wound up having to have dinner out and it almost put me over the top, but I skipped the croutons in my soup and did not eat all of my ciabatta bread on my sandwich. So actually I had a few less than is showing in my food diary (took off about 1/4 of the top piece)
But since I prerecorded a lot of my food I knew exactly where I stood and how to stay under while not feeling deprived! It was great!

Again I will stick to this goal today and tomorrow. Who knows what will happen over the week-end but I am not going to stress it. Sorry Blue Crocuses!

Well off to another healthy day!! Have a GREAT one!


Floor Goal: 250 Done, D-done, Done, Done!!! 13lbs down from the beginning of the challenge, 17 down from when I first started watching in August.

Mid-range: 245 Turkey Day I am coming for you! 18 from beginning of the challenge. 21.5 from when I first started and 4 from now. Goal date Nov. 1st (or sooner, if I want to make the ceiling goal too!)
Ceiling goal: 235 by the 30th of November. This is a bit of a stretch, but that is what a ceiling goal is all about. :) 28 from challenge start, 14 from now and 31.5 from when I first started watching. (I can feel this with my finger tips if I just r...e...a...c...h!)
Christmas Challenge Goal:230 by December 25th!! 36.5 from when I first started watching. (I have got a plan for the holidays! For once in my life I will NOT gain weight, I will LOSE!!!)

1st things first 245 (almost there! Just 4 more itty bitty lbs and 3 work weeks to do it in!!) then 240 then on down, down down!

Good job on meeting your carb restriction! I was never aware before on how many carbs I was intaking until I started with FS. I think my average is about 140 a day. I'm guessing that's okay. Some days it's much worse.. some days.. much less. *shrug* I am nothing if not inconsistent! haha

What a great idea to check out the hotel gym! Give us a full report ! (ha! now you have to at least LOOK in the gym). I'm sure you will do great on your trip - it's like you said, the switch has flipped and you KNOW how to do this! It comes naturally now. Have a WONDERFUL time while you are away!

:) Thank you! That means a lot I am worried abou the trip but I am trying to keep it under control and I may well be worrying for naught, but yeah without recording on here every day.....

Good luck on your trip. Hmmm... even without the gym, you could always walk around the hotel, climb the stairs, or swim.

LOL Amy! I know but I have tried recording paper and pencil before and it never worked because i got no meaningful information from it like I do here. I plan on doing it and coming back and entering it here when i get home but I cannot plan like i do here :9

I know...I need to stop worrying. As Terri at work said. I have been doing this and I have faced temptation as bad before....My business coach talked some about worrying tonight and living in the now so here I go, no more worrying just plan what I can and take each bite as it comes! Or if the worry pops up do an "on second thought" and redirect :)

Glad to see you'll be taking notes to catch us all up on your trip! Not sure if you're too busy to even think of this, but many hotel lobbies have a community computer. Maybe yours does and you'll be able to journal. (Journal or sleep, journal or sleep?) LOL. Just a thought! Have a great trip!
