Good morning!

Ahhhh, finally a FULL (well, 7 hrs) of sleep!

I did wake up around 1 AM, and I remember thinking "Dammit, another night of no sleep". Then I fell asleep again. :)

I did great on the food challenges yesterday. Well, almost great.

I was within RDI, no sweat. I had about 100 calories left. This is where I really want to be on a day-to-day basis. I want to be using my calories, and not go hungry, not have weird cravings, just feel good.

I had my meals, only I forgot about my 2nd breakfast. I had to run home right around that time because a plummer came to change a faucet in the kitchen sink. So I forgot. I had other things on my mind. I guess I wasn't hungry, huh? :)

So, that gave me 350 calories to play with.

In the afternoon, Wife did the usual cakes. She was So proud of one that she did, she absolutely loved it. She asked me if I could please please please try a piece, and she apologized because she of course know of my mission, but she really loved her creation.

How can I say no to that? I cut a TINY piece, and only had that one. It was amazing. She really know how to make those damn cakes!

So, essentially, I strayed from the plan, but with no damage done. To compensate (somewhat) I skipped my evening smoothie.

...

This morning, I couldn't resist jumping on the scale. I'm okay with the number. I'm at 92.4 kgs. It's not as low as I wanted it to be, but it IS lower than last I was on it, by 800 grams.

I don't have the "thin" feeling today, so I think there is some water levels going on too, and I might have lost a little more fat than I think. I dunno. It doesn't matter, I'm trying not to over speculate it.

I do see progress. I see that my body looks a little more toned already, probably both from losing a little fat, but definitely also from the workouts. I just need to start adding cardio workouts too.

I am still considering just getting on the bike at home on my no-gym days. Honestly, I haven't gotten around to it, and I know I should. Let's make it a rule. :) Go gym? 30 mins or more on the bike. That should be accomplishable. Maybe with Saturdays off, to have a complete resting day. This would go nicely hand in hand with Indulgence Day. Sundays, I try to make a habit out of going to the gym too, when I can.

Today, I am working at a different location than usual, so I know there will be food challenges. I can handle them. I feel in great shape to do good, and I really am starting to see my mission forming, just like in the "good old days", about two years ago. lol. I feel that I have my eyes on both the prize AND the ball. I feel that I am accomplishing, and that I have no interest in doing anything less than that. The rest is simply tweaking it to do better. One tweak could be the cardio. It WILL be the cardio. :)

Today, I'm thankful for:
- SLEEP!
- Morning coffee as usual.
- Hitting the gym before work.
- Not being phased by food challenges throughout the day.

Happy Friday! Life is good!

Sleep makes a such a big difference! BTW - do you track any body measurements? If not, it may be another success measure you can add for those times the scale refuses to cooperate. Your strength training will do wonders to tone your shape and make you smaller. For me the losses in inches were motivating to see, paricularly when my weight loss stalled for a few days. Happy Friday!
