Lana J's Journal, 21 December 2012

Had a bad spell at Wal Mart. Faint, hot, face red, nausia, heart pounding, sweating, optician lady ran got a wet towel for me to put it on me. I had stripped off outer ware down to tank top threw everything on floor. I was in the eye center, glad it was not in the main store of Wal Mart. Glad I was the only customer there and glad I was near a chair and plopped down in it. Emotional at Sam's before that. At Energy Fitness before that and did not feel like working out, so I left after I did 10 abductors and the same for adductors. I have had some bad hot "flashes" this has to be the worst one, if that is what it was, I have ever had. Very bad, experience. Thank you Lord for the day and being there. I am wondering why all this is happening and why the doctor blows me off like I am a hyper-condriact. Today discovered the eye doctor wrote someone eles' name on my prescription. Good night and tomorrow will be a better day.

Hi Lana. Sorry to hear about what happened to you today. Do you think you are going through menopause? If not, it sounds like you are having panic attacks. If you are, I would suggest that you try Estroven. It's over the counter and for me, it was a life saver. I had a hysterectomy at a very young age and took estrogen pills for 30 years. I tried to go off them in my late 40's (on the advice of my doctor). She cut the dosage in half so I could wean myself off them. A few days at the lower dose and I woke up with a raging hot flash. Horrible. I stayed on estrogen for a couple more years, but when I was turning 50, I thought I would give it another go. I started taking Estroven instead of Premarin and it worked like a charm. I don't remember exactly how long I took the Estroven, but it wasn't very long. Maybe a few weeks. I'm 53 now and don't have hot flashes, or any other menopause discomforts. If you are having panic attacks, then you really need to find a doctor that will understand and help you. I take daily medication for anxiety, but I also have a prescription for Xanax, which I take if I have a panic attack. Which is very rare, and I hardly ever have a need for Xanax. But I do have it on hand, just in case. I hope this helps. I don't know what your situation is, so maybe I'm way off base. I hope you are feeling better. Elizabeth
