agirlfromminnesota's Journal, 12 December 2012

I was doing alright until last weekend when I gained it all back that was lost. Four lbs with 320's in sight. It was a rough weekend. In that I was working on my final papers. And that leads to abundance of cereal eating. I am a binger.

This week has been stressful too. But I will focus on the positive. Yesterday I got a morning with my love, and all kinds of fun sexy time and brunch and then we headed to the hospital to see my Mom. She was diagnosed with breast cancer right before Thanksgiving and her mastectomy was yesterday and awesome news is they didnt find it spread to any lymphy nodes! We are just now needing to get her healthy again and praying the pathology report comes back saying she won't need chemo.

While finishing my class this week should have me out of stress zones and back to the gym. The stuff with my mom means I need to spend that time helping her as much as I can. I was supposed to go to my little sisters Graduation in Green Bay this weekend but cannot because I was going with parents and they are no longer going. I feel so bad for her, I told her I would likely end up spending the weekend with them but I selfishly hope I can steal some me time. With next weekend being xmas preparations I am sure I will be out there. This month is driving me nuts. I know I just need to be good one little step leads to bigger steps but I cope with eating. Stupid eating.

Don't be too tough on yourself. You have so much to cope with. You sound like a good daughter, sister & friend. Hopefully the New Year will bring health & happiness to you and your family and a fresh start for your weight loss.

The truth is that there will always be some kind of stress in our lives. By getting yourself to a healthy weight, you will better be able to deal with life's stresses. You will be better able to help your mom and yourself. Exercise also helps stress. The best thing you can ever do for yourself is eat healthy and exercise. Take small steps to get yourself there. It's won't be easy, but YOU ARE worth it.
