posterchild66's Journal, 12 December 2012

I finished! I finished my paper last night at 10PM.

Left work to write it, so I ate a nice healthy lunch, took a nap, rode my bike, and then wrote my paper.

Bike ride was great, there was little wind and the weather was hot. I knew we are heading for some windy and bad weather shortly so I was itching to do. Had a flat on the 1st half of the ride.

Had a protein shake for din din. I had some snacks before that I needed to compensate for. Plus I was not hungry after my ride. I am learning not to daydream about the post-ride meal the whole time, and that really helps with the appetite. It is almost as if I get worked up over that meal. If I stand back and think about it, maybe I am not so hungry.

Helped the kids make dinner. Pasta and some beef we had around. Made them chop up onions tiny (they "dont like" onions but they eat them). And spice it up. I remember when I was 16-18 it was Mac & Cheese and a sandwich, or a steak & a potato. My kids are the same, no imagination or creativity in the kitchen. They cannot see through all our healthy foods to make a meal, so they always think we are "out of food!". When in fact we are not.

Anyway, Have a great day y'all!

Thanks Y'all. A few more things to tidy up this week, and I have no school until January. Although I have to get some CLEP/DSST Exams done to get a few credits.

Such a great, positive journal, JP. I like! Well done compensating for the snacks, though I think protein din din sounds tedious. lol. And I definitely applaud you for trying to not obsess over your meals. It's a great thing, once we reach that point, we can handle our obstacles much better. After I had my first Low Cal Day, I find that I obsess a LOT less, and that is SUCH a relief.
