Goal Weight:136.7 lb
following: schmetterling34's own diet
performance: gaining 0.6 lb a week

I am 46, living in england, on & off since 1990, but born & raised in germany. I always had a pretty active life, i do love exercise, even trying to become a fitness instructor myself( just not finding the the time to study properly), but since i have been here I have learned a lot about what i eat, which isn't that bad....just way too much!!! LOL
so I am here to keep an eye on that & slowly but hopefully steady will go lower(lighter) in time! :)

Update 23/08/2012

Well I have reached my goal, slowly & steady :)
I will keep on living the way I have done the past 4 1/2 month, maybe a little less strict, certainly without tracking from now on, unless the weight creeps up again.
In time I might lower my goal a little, but for now I am happy with what I have achieved & aim to maintain this :)

Update 8/05/13

So much for reaching my goal: I did gain a few kilos back, but at the same time i tweaked how I eat & started weightlifting. I am amazed how strong I have grown, how lean I can look. I have learned to accept that strong lean muscles are heavier, not saying there isn't any more room for improvement :)

Helppp!! Please 5'1 and a half 114lbs. stubborn bellyfat problem
I think I have to disagree again Wink. I still got some way to go....but a few days ago I noticed, that although my weight is still the same...my belly has disappeared. I used to be your typical apple: skinny legs with a 'lovely' muffin top. Now I have stronger legs, a waist & no belly no more Smile. How to do it: eat clean( hence little or no processed food), cut out coffee & alcohol, have plenty of protein, & lift weights, lift weights, oh did I mention lift weights. I haven't bulked out, Its extremely difficult for a woman anyway, but I am certainly much stronger now (85kg deadlifts). And shake up your workouts. The body gets used to them after only 5 times. Hope this gives you some pointers Smile

Rotator Cuff?!
do trust my physio!!! If you go and see a doc over here, they give you painkillers & tell you to come backin 6 weeks if it still hurts. So instead I go & see my physio, if she can't fix me in 3 seesions, she will write a letter telling them whats wrong. So far I was always sorted after 1 session. Smile

ECO Atkins for a skinny vegetarian with a belly
Nuts, seeds, lentils, beans, quorn, cheese....the list for vegitarians are endless. You need certainly more protein in your life than a couple of eggs & a bit of tofu. Atkins is too restricting in my opinion, especially for vegitarians. So good luck Smile

Ready for a Life Overhaul
How about starting to log what you eat & how much & see how many calories you really consume. Make sure you get plenty of 'made from scratch meals' & stay away from convinient processed meals. You'll be surprised how much of a difference that makes! & yes, get moving on your days off. Exercise might exhaust you in the short run, but it will make you more energetic long term & lift your mood = boost your confidence Smile

Any apple shaped women here?
Hi there. I was an apple all my life, up til now Smile. I started going to the gym 2 years ago, but my shape only really started changing when I started working out with a personnal trainer. I do a lot of weighttraining. Try to get some advice at your gym for that. Don't be afraid on pushing yourself. Pain is only temporary. But I am happy that for the 1st time in my life, I have no belly no more. I never thought that would be possible. I still weigh more than when I was skinny(with a belly), but for once in my life I am happy with my shape & I know I will keep it that way!!! You can do it too Smile
