So I’ve hit a stall. Man this period of keto totally sucks. You do everything perfectly and wind up getting pissed off at the scales every morning for a week or more. I’ve started lifting weights and even went to my first yoga class. Oh yeah, that was fun! I walked in with my colorful workout clothes not thinking about the fact that the yoga studio was in “that” part of town. Everyone in various shades of black, grey, black on black, grey on grey—you get the picture. Me in my bright fuchsia top and black “yoga” pants with fuchsia flowers. I thought “who cares”! And then I went into downward facing dog and had to cover my cleavage with my long hair. Argh! BUT I WAS THERE AND I WAS DOING IT!!!! OK almost doing it :) but I was giving it one helluva try. I’m glad I’m old enough to be more concerned about me and what I’m trying to accomplish than what everyone else might think of me. Mostly. (Scouring my wardrobe for black on black. I’m human!) But my realization is that there has to be people out there like me. When I go to the gym and feel uncomfortable about working out and then I look around and see others with the same awkwardness I have, I know I’m not alone. In my mind, I champion every single person. And anyone else that doesn’t secretly root for their fellow humans doesn’t matter. If you go to a gym and don’t feel accepted, find a new gym! I did and it was liberating. Wish me luck!

No you are not alone. You are being very brave. I find it very hard to go to a gym class since I do not look anything like the people in there. So you are an inspiration to me!!!! About the scale, you may be building muscle or retaining water. Hard to say with the body sometimes but the program works in the long run!!!!

I love you found a gym you are comfortable at. I wear whatever I want. I've learned what to wear to what. Nothing worse than worrying about your cleavage or your pants falling down. Keep at it. You're amazing.
