WHAT THE HELL? Rough day - feel like the scale is bad, bad, bad! I worked so very hard this week but not showing me a good loss yet. Why the hell do I care about the stupid scale? I know the scale lies! I work hard to have a 2000 calorie deficit every day but it is getting more difficult as I burn less calories on exercise the more fit I become. Pretty soon I wouldn't be able to eat at all!

My size is shrinking - I got in smaller pants today and could zip them up. They were too snug to wear yet, but I zipped them! I am walking or biking every day, and eating healthfully...SO WHY isn't that good enough?

My dear husband put up with a lot of whining today - he is a good sport. He biked with me for 45 minutes even though weather was a bit ominous (dark clouds) but I just could NOT miss my exercise.

I am beating myself up for no good reason.

http://nutritionaltyping.mercola.com/PreTest.aspx This is the link to the nutritional typing diet. If you eat according to your nutritional type, you shouldn't go hungry or crave. I'm a protein nutritional type and since I've started loading my diet with protein, I am very satisfied. I eat primarily vegan, but there is tons of protein in plant based foods once you get familiar with what to pick. My holistic health coach, Brad Barnoski, told me most info on grams of protein is way too high (considering it requires you to eat at least 1.5 lbs of meat a day plus a couple of eggs and throw in some nuts and cheese--that's crazy). He said on a plant based diet 50 grams of protein a day is plenty for good nutrition PLUS you get a ton of other nutrients critical to good health and feeling satisfied. In meat, all you get is protein. Visit his web site too and fill out his survey so you can get a chance to talk with him about learning how to eat without feeling hungry and without craving. http://www.bradbarnoski.com/ The survey is under health forms.

dorothy007kulik : Thanks for the feedback but cravings or hunger are not my problem at this point. I have not had that problem woth the foods I choose.

Time and patience. The more you lose, the longer it takes. Your body will start dropping the weight when it is ready to. Just keep doing the right things and you will see it eventually.

pkgardner and bvallet: Thanks so much for the encouragement! Sometimes I lose the big picture and get stuck in the day.

You probably remember I had a similar day not long ago; you wrote me some wonderfully encouragingly words that really helped. I know you can be as kind to yourself as you have to everyone else here. You are awesome, so shake off today's mood & remember just how great you're doing!

I had a similar thing happen a while ago where my weight loss slowed until I increased my calorie intake. It seems weird but if your intake is to low it can slow your weight loss. Right now I have delibrately upped it and I'm allowing my body to adjust to this weight. I haven't lost much but I'm going to stay here for a month or so then drop it again. Sometime you have to play these games with your body to make it do what you want.

Thanks FOL and CKat: It seems I have seat less when it is warm or when I exercise more - so I agree I may be eating too few calories at times and my body ikes to hold on to whatever it can ! I will try your advice. Thanks!

I've been there. It sure does get frustrating when you seem to be doing everything right and not getting anywhere closer to your goal. Then out of the blue sometimes you'll just get a drop. Tough it out. Change things up. Oddly, I ate like a pig, drank like a fish, and cut back on my workouts and dropped a couple pounds.
