OK... I've been playing around with the new scale and I think I found a spot on the floor where I am getting similar readings on the new one and the old one. I live in an apartment so the floors are not very level so every time I try a new spot I get a different weight. Today my old scale said 237.5 and the new one said 238.4. I am not weighing in until the new scale reads the same or less than my old weigh in. I dont want to see that dreadful red arrow! :)

I don't think there is one woman here who has not "wroked" with her scale the way you describe!!!!!!!!! It is really funny what we do to get what we tink is a good reading. I put my new one away and now work with my old one which is sort of a Drs. scale that I bought years and years ago. It works with weights; I thought I would update myself and buy a new digital one--that almost drove me crazy since I was constantly weighing first on the old, then on the new which was ALWAYS different. Oh well, just stick to the program and you will surely do well. Good Luck

I read somewhere to put a can of something you know the exact weight of and put it on your scale first so you can know if it is calibrated correctly.

I agree with you, Ihad the same experience when I just bought a new scale. I just didn't weigh in until I was down to where the old scale said I was. It took less than a week so my weigh in time was still good, actaully showed a slight loss that week. Hate those red arrows!
