This morning I decided to weigh in before I got dressed and went to WW to see if there was a change on my home scale since Monday. I told myself not to expect much if any change because my fingers were so swollen from the diet Coke and steak dinner I had the evening before, so I was most pleasantly surprised to see I had lost 4 pounds! I hadn't weighed in at WW since Oct. and with all my layers of clothes on, my weight there was 161.2. I was down .2 lbs since Oct.

Now for a fresh start in 2010 and continuing to find an eating plan I can live with, NOT a diet! I read a quote in the WW magazine today that will be my mantra - strive for perseverence, not perfection!
158.5 lb Lost so far: 3.5 lb.    Still to go: 8.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Diet Calendar Entry for 09 January 2010:
1588 kcal Fat: 35.10g | Prot: 59.55g | Carb: 196.76g.   Breakfast: Twix Chocolate Caramel Cookie Bars, granola bar weight watcher, Nonfat Caffe Latte (Grande). Lunch: muffin, Rosemary Lemon Chicken with Vegetables. Dinner: wine, miller light beer, Twix bar - homemade, Sour Cream and Onion Flavor Potato Chips, hamburger bun. Snacks/Other: tangerine, sugar free jello, nonfat whipped topping. more...

Way to go Cathy!!! Congrats on the 4 pounds. Perseverance does pay off. I hope you didn't miss your usual night out in Wakonda. Dieting is not for wimps.

I didn't miss my usual Friday night out - so I'm really surprised! I enjoyed my steak gorgonzola very much - but drank diet Coke instead of a Newcastle beer (or two) which saved a lot of calories.
