Cute shoes 

I learned so much about buying running and hiking shoes when I was mentoring a young girl on her weight loss journey and she decided to take up running. I took her to a running shoe store and the salesman taught us both a lot. Mainly, Don’t buy the shoe because they are cute. Buy a real shoe made specifically for running, not a generic tennis shoe. Always buy them 1/2-1 size longer than you would normally wear. Buy a shoe with a wide toe box (like ASICS) so there is room for your toes to splay out. Put Vaseline between your toes before you put your shoes on. Oh, there is a difference in shoes for pavement running and trail running. Your knees need good she’s to be their partner. 

ajbusjahn not going to lie shoe shopping with me is torturous ... I try on like 4 pairs of the same size shoe and grab the ones that fit each foot the best. I have broken both my legs in multiple places and broke a peice off the one leg and had to have it screwed back on right at the ankle my feet have completely different arches and shapes its super lame.

maybe you can get a shoe insert for the bigger one to help remove some of the extra space!

In my running days I used to wear out a pair every 4 months. Do you have rigid custom inserts to help with the plantar fasciitis?  

Super cute!! Former runner here- former bc I’m post surgery for a MCL & medial root meniscus repair. I miss running… been swimming, biking and rowing in recovery. I am a sneaker wh@r3🤣🤣🤦‍♀️ I only workout in Asics, On, Brookes and Hokas depending on my activity (yep I have a problem & I know it). But seriously, you prob know this but when running be sure to get a proper fit for your sneakers- toe box, rigidity, and even heel-toe rise makes a huge difference to the impact your joints take. I love sneakers and sandals- they take up my closet honestly, but if you splurge on quality footwear you will always thank yourself;)

JB, I do have 2 types of inserts but as my PF heals and with the guidance of my PT I'd love to wean off them. They make my running shoes so heavy and it's hard to find a pair that works well with them. Such an is the struggle 🥲

Otb, oh my goodness! I'm glad you're still able to do everything you do with all that leg trauma. Do you need high support / stability shoes? 

Asarver for a while all o could wear was skater shoes lol then I was le yo buy Merrill hiking type shoes and now I found 2 Adidas shoe styles that actually got me great and I have a stack of 6 new pairs In different colors sitting in a closet. once I find something that works I buy multiple pairs in case they stop making them. I lucked out and found a nice pair of merrily trail running shoes I need to go back yo the outlet store and buy a few more pairs of them soon. this year I had custom insoles made and I wear them when I walk. 

Ashley I’m way overdue, I normally buy new balance but I’m wondering if there are other brands I’m missing out on
