well, that's what happens when you go over your rdi a lot. i had cake this week. i made it for my friend for her birthday and ate the leftovers, not all in one sitting. i had guacamole last night, but it wasn't especially high in calories. it's just that to get it to your mouth you need a chip! my mother was here this week. every day we walked at least a mile. and we had cut fruit after breakfast and lunch, and salads around dinner time. she was a good diet influence on me.

i got my fitbit. it's the one you wear on your wrist. i'm getting about 5000 steps a day. i thought it would be more with that mile in the morning, but no. the band is already cracking, so i have to have it replaced. i like how fit mess will sync up fit bit and fat secret. i forget who told me about that.

still gaining and losing that same 3 pounds. i'll have to be more careful with my rdi this week.
259.0 lb Lost so far: 8.6 lb.    Still to go: 69.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

I frequently eat guacamole with cucumber or zucchini slices, with lightly blanched broccoli and cauliflower (to maximize their cancer-fighting properties), or smear some guacamole on Romaine/red leaf lettuce leaves, spicy Asian greens (tatsoi, komatsuna, etc.) or Napa cabbage leaves and roll them up like a taquito. And sometimes I just mix the guac with shredded carrots and/or shredded brussel sprouts and eat it like a salad. No chips required! :)

Good as a salad dressing, a dip for jicama, celery, sweet peppers.

Gnewfry - next time love your friend with a wonderful fruit salad in a watermelon bowl. Better choice for both of you. Hope the fit bit helps. I was appalled at how few steps I took when I first started wearing a pedometer. Just logging them will help you get more in. You will try to best yourself. Good luck.

i knew people would have great ideas for the guacamole. i bought more today but we are out of chips. i think the fit bit will help a lot. on the days i don't walk, i get hardly any steps at all. then i feel really guilty. i didn't walk today and felt really bad. at least i went out to stores and walked a bit there.
