jmb3450's Journal, 26 July 2014

Music for the wedding went well, I played about 20 minutes before the ceremony, sang a song during the ceremony, then played about 5 minutes after it was over. About half on 6 string acoustic and the other half on a weissenborn lapsytle guitar. Afterwards was a meal of fried chicken and sides, between that and the crabs last night I think I took in a lot extra sodium, but my calories for both days are in line so that's good. I'll be drinking lots of water over the next couple days to flush the salt and excess fluid from my body.

My wife was up for a walk this afternoon, we went down our street and one more in the neighborhood. Getting out did her good but she's sore tonight from the walk. We'll keep that up each day and do more as she's able to. Outpatient physical therapy starts on Monday.

Wrens are raising a family in the bluebird box in front of our house. I got some pretty good video of the parents feeding the baby birds and some of the babies sticking their heads out of the box. Earlier this year I got some video of chirping sparrows feeding their young also, once I can get it edited I'll post it on youtube and might include a link to it in a future journal.

One more day in the weekend, then back to work on Monday after being off the past 2 weeks taking care of my wife. Hoping everyone has a great Sunday.

Your two weeks off work flew by too quickly! Hope you don't get too busy, because I would like to see the bird videos you took. Have a great Sunday with your wife!

I enjoyed your description of the wedding music. Nice. You have done a FANTASTIC job losing weight during your wife's circumstance. Handshakes for you, our friend!

Glad that your wife is able to put pressure on her knee now, while it hurts and boy do I know that does, tell her "we have to call things that be, not as though they were." All is well! It took me two years to walk with hip bursitis and L1,L2,L3,L4 L5 disc blown. While I am not 100% I do what I can and speak positive things into the atmosphere. I am free from a cane 95% of the time and when people ask, I say "I'm doing good." Glad that she is home and glad you had a great time yesterday at the wedding.
