jmb3450's Journal, 25 July 2014

Almost in the 220's, hopefully will be there by next weigh-in. My wife got "over the hump" in recovering from knee replacement surgery around Wednesday this week. Her range of motion is up to 118 degrees unassisted, fantastic for 2 weeks post-surgery. Pain levels are finally manageable and getting much better.

Tonight is a wedding rehearsal, dinner at Macy's afterward's for steamed bay crabs. I won't drink any beer due to the no sugar challenge but crabs are free game and I'm going to enjoy that. Hope everyone has a great Friday and wonderful weekend.

Your doing great Jim. Keep it up! Good to hear about your wife getting around better too. My mom had both of her knees replaced about 3 years ago. She said it was the best thing she had ever done. She feels great now and has zero problems with them.

Calculating calories on what I've eaten today, I can have 8 cups of crab meat and still be under my RDI. That's a half gallon of crab meat, wonder how many crabs I'd have to eat to get there? Looking forward to tonight!

Happy to hear your wife is doing well. It is a brutal surgery and I'll never forget and hoping to not repeat. I'm going to be rude and ask you to have a crab for me and if they're having cakes, I'll have one of those also.

Thank you.

The crabs were fantabulous! I have no idea how many it takes to make a half gallon of meat, I polished off probably a couple dozen.

And while I mowed the grass and passed by the peach trees snatching one here and there, I thought of my my peach envy friend.

Eat a peach for me Kathy! Mine are still green. Elberta peaches, I'm not sure when they generally ripen since this is the first year we're getting any yield from the trre.
