Are you happy with the gain and is this your intention.

Gains are intentional. I'm on another 12 week bulk, only this time my workouts are written around powerlifting more than bodybuilding. I seem to be gaining quickly, but with the intensity of my workouts I'm guessing its mostly water and glycorgen.
