I have a question: for those of you who have reached your goal weight but continue to take your measurements because you workout, how often do you take your measurements?

Thanks!

I do mine once a week, just to keep myself accountable.

Thanks, Skwhite. Have you been seeing results?

Sometimes they are up and sometimes they are down. I think for me it is just keeping it present in my mind. I could so easily go crazy that I need it constantly in front of me. I have lost the weight, but not yet won all the battles.

I haven't reached my goal weight yet, but when I do, I will probably still weigh myself daily, just for kicks lol ;) Unless I don't have the time.

Also, when this objective is met, I will probably still want to gain muscle mass so I'll have to keep paying attention to the weight and hope it increases (in muscles heheh)

I was thinking about it, Skwhite, and I think I'll take my measurements on the days that my weight goes up slightly as a way to see if possibly I gained muscle (lost inches) or if it's water retention in my muscles (if my inches stayed the same). But, then again, water retention can also increase inches, like around that time of the month, so I probably won't measure myself then. I don't want to go nuts by taking my measurements often, because my guess is that my body is not going to change much more, because my fat is really stubborn, lol, so I probably won't measure every week, but definitely every month at least. Thanks!

When I began my journey, Euheide, I only weighed monthly, because I was constantly losing weight, because I had so much to lose, so I didn't need to regularly make sure I was losing, if that makes sense. But then halfway through, I switched to weekly. That was around the time that I began counting calories too. I will never weigh daily because I don't like to see the scale go up at all, which it still does sometimes when I weigh weekly. But weighing weekly is perfect for me, because it helps keep me accountable and gives me something to look forward to each week. To each his own :)

It definitely makes sense! I get what you're saying about the weight going up from day to day. If I didn't take this so lightly, I would probably not weigh daily too due to that heheheh ;) Keep up the great work!
