20lbs down from start weight!!!

Ok.... so this morning's weight was considerable down from yesterdays despite weighing at the same time. I've got a few theories on that. First, two days ago I wasn't tracking food and eating around maintenance. I ate within my 1100-1300 range yesterday, less food in the digestive track = less total weight. Maybe. Second theory is my peak flow is up at 390 this morning (oh so close to that 400 mark lol). That is better by more then 10% compared to yesterday. My asthma is heavily tied to allergies and allergies can cause water retention. So if my body is reacting to less allergies this morning then yesterday morning there may be less water weight in my system. Third, my day yesterday started off with sausage and and egg. It sort of set the tone for my day and I ended up eating nearly 50% of my calories in fat, 20% in protein and 30% in carbohydrates. That's effectively flipping my normal carb and fat intake percents. Carbs cause greater water retention then fat (has nothing to do with actual fat body content, but it's one of the reason lchf dieters shed so much weight so early on). So significantly less carbs means less water weight. Most likely I assume it's a mix of the three theories causing the 1.2lb different. I'll have to see what the scale says tomorrow ;-)

However, at 154lbs I am officially 20lbs down from my start weight of 174 =) Pretty happy about that. When I started I was obese for my height. I am firmly within the 'overweight' category now.

FUTURE MILESTONE OUTLOOK: Besides the milestones of entering new 10s (140s, 130s, etc...). My next milestone is 144lbs when I'll be 30lbs down. My next weight category milestone is 140lbs where I will be out of the 'overweight' section and into the 'slightly overweight' holding zone befor hitting the healthy weight range milestone at 135lbs. Then at 134lbs I'll be 40lbs lighter then where I started. I was about 125lbs when I got pregnant with my youngest son, so that is going to be a great feeling milestone to be back where I was befor pregnancy weight and lung issues. However I was also running 1-3 times a day 5-6 days a week at that time too... so in difference to the different amount of muscle I'll be keeping on my frame without that running I hope to get down to 115-120lbs... eventually, putting me pretty mid-range of the healthy weight zone for my height.

Happy Friday Everyone!

Great job! I can't wait to hit that 20 lbs. lost mark! Six more weeks should do it for me :-) I like your "future milestone outlook." Very realistic plan. I should be doing something similar, but I am old enough to feel satisfied to get back down to a weight that I maintained easily 10 years ago, before my back injury. You go girl!
