I have a passion for powerlifting and am pleased to find a few people on this site who also lift. Are there any groups for strength trainers? I ask because I have not found one yet. I am new to this site.

Earlier I was trying to find a similar group too, but I never found it. Unfortunately, many groups are not active at all. You might need to make one.:)
