Quick check in… as it is truly the best way to start the day (even if its late)! We have another of DH's sister, her DH & 2 of their 4 kids coming for the night. So, of course, the first thing I did was make a dinner reservation! But they'll be on their way early tomo taking their son back to college. My DH leaves tomo too for the week, and my youngest for college too :(. So, I have a quiet week ahead! I'm on Day 6 back on track gluten, lactose & sugar aware :), and determined to stay my course through the weekend, the house guests & the socializing!

So, before the later round of madness begins, I'll pray --

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

And, I'll pray, breathe, log, post & express my way on this one day, and through each one meal, moment, bite, thought & emotion. I'm so grateful for each of you & our special place here, my family & IRL friends, and having the health & wealth to live this life I love! xoxox

I've often said the thing I make best for dinner is reservations :-) even though I do like to cook. It can just be difficult pleasing that many different people. Have a good time and take care of you.

It is so hard to stay the course with all the distractions that guests bring. You are doing great keeping your determination going.

Sometimes it's fun to go out for dinner--even if you're dieting. It's always nice for someone else to make the grilled chicken or a lower fat meal than me :) You can still eat healthy and choose what you want to "splurge" on! :) You'll do it!
