Final weigh in of 2013 -drum roll please- 211!! (my lowest weight of the year) Down a total of 75lbs, and over half way to my goal weight! If you would have told me last new years eve that I would quit smoking and lose 75lbs before the next new year I would have told you that you were outside your damn mind. I lost it all without food scales, personal trainers, fancy body media arm bands etc. YOU guys were my entire support system, and I learned everything I know from some of fatsecret's finest.

There has been a lot of trial and error. There have been many bottles of wine, margarita's, steaks, carb rich foods, and even Christmas goodies and I still made it here. I believe this speaks volumes to what It means to make a lifestyle change, not a diet. I've said it a million times before and I'll say it one more time, consistency is the only secret to success.

Diets fail. If you change your lifestyle and live these changes everyday then you can't fail. Set yourself up for success. Allow yourself indulgences and desserts on occasions. Give yourself permission to live.

It has been a perfectly imperfect year and I wouldn't change a damn thing :-). What's next?? Sixty-five pounds in 2014 will take me to my goal weight of 146. I chose that number because It is the exact weight that will take me to the normal category on the BMI scale. I've always wanted to be normal *wink* If I'm as badass as I think I am, I should be able to hit that goal the end of July. Seven months, less than ten pounds a month.

March fourth is my one year anniversary of starting this journey, I would love to hit one hundred pounds by then but that will be a little challenging. I'll get as close as I can.

Fitness goals are big for me this year. Yolanda's running a 5k! Then a 10k! lol I've never been a runner, but I'd love to learn. Should amp up my calorie burn, and it's something I can switch up by running different places. I have a boarder collie named Hoss who would love it if I could take him for a run. This year I shall.

That about sums it up. It's been a great year, I hit goals I didn't even know that I had one year ago today. Can't wait to see where I am in one more year's time.

Congratulations Yolanda, I can't hardly weight to see what 211 looks like on me. I've had a wonderful day so far just thinking about what can I do next. I think after I lose my next 10 lbs, hopefully wont take long for that I will be trying on a piece of lingerie that I have in my drawer far too long. Have a Happy New Year!

Congrats. Your comments about how you have to change your life hit home. I was thinking that this morning. I am only up 2 lbs after Thanksgiving, Christmas and losing my father. You can continue to live and enjoy food without packing back on tons of pounds if you compensate other places.
