Exercised 5 days this week on the treadmill for 45 mins each day: M-Th and Sat. I was surprised by how tired I was by the end of Thanksgiving day. My back really hurt; had to lay down a few times to give it a rest. I need to do ab exercises to strengthen my core. My weight is holding steady at 149.25, same as Thanksgiving morning. Ketostix shows I'm still in ketosis, even after that wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. My next mini-goal is 145 by Xmas.

Good job on the exercising, I was really tired too, I just read that can be because 1. low sodium, and 2. not eating enough. Reading whyguys forum and doing the calculations, we should only have a 20% defecit in calorie intake, 30% if we have a lot to lose. So, but calculations of figure I am seeing above for your activities today, you should be eating around 1900 calories. I know my metabolism is not up to par, so in my exercise journal I only log sleeping and resting besides my exercising. It seems to be pretty accurate compared to my slow metabolism. But that also means I dont eat enough, even at 2000 calories.. I am seeing ladies on that forum that are about your weight who eat that much and more and still lose!! At least I know, so if I start to stall, I need to up my calories. According to all his research and testing, we can increase our metabolism by eating more since a lot of us have a defective metabolism that burns less that its full potential. Mine has the potential of 4000+, but is stuck at around 3300!

I think my yo-yo dieting over the years has screwed up my metabolism. I've read whyguys forum; it's very interesting and will definitely keep it in mind if I stall. Right now, I'm just happy that I'm still in ketosis after my T-day dinner (nearly 40 carbs! if I estimated correctly) and that I didn't gain anything. You make a good point re salt-deprivation leading to fatigue but, in my case, I think it was just all the extra housework, on top of all the cooking. I'm usually sitting at a desk all day; not used to being on my feet all day cooking and doing housework. Boy, that's hard work!
