I didn't do too badly today. I could have done better with my food choices, BUT at least I got a good 20 minute workout in this morning. I even did some stretching. Still, I don't feel that great. I feel like I'm in a slump..and don't feel at my best. I HATE how food and lack of exercise can make me feel this way. I even took a nap with my young one this morning. I haven't taken a nap the same time as he has in a while now.. because I would do household chores, or pick veggies.. just random things. Not lately, and I feel it in my body.

I definitely know that I'm in a slump "diet" wise and I'm experiencing too many shortcomings and sugary cravings. I've gotta seriously get my butt in gear!! I'm so tired of this SUGAR need taking a hold of me. I am glad that I've realized the importance of exercise EVERY morning. It adds so much to my day and gives that little bit of "oomph". Plus, the whole weightloss thing helps too. With all this gaining and such, I'll have to get back on track ASAP, and cut out the "No Pudge" brownies, and do some ricotta desserts again... get used to that alll over again.

Not having chocolate is hard. I think soon will the TOM.. maybe that's my reasoning in craving it SOO bad today and yesterday. I think I may have to start drinking coffee as a dessert, maybe instead. Get some mocha or white chocolate creamer, and splenda.. That sounds good, actually.

Well, I think I'm done rambling. Wish me luck. My son is definitely hitting the terrible 2's in full force..and it's SOO not fun. It's very hard to keep him engaged, but thank GOD for books. This kid LOVES pictures and being read to.

It sounds like you are definitely thinking about moving in the right direction. Although those "No Pudge" brownies are low in calories, I bet they have a lot of sugar which will cause those cravings and make you overeat. My hubby and I were just discussing how terrible I used to feel last year. I was tired ALL the time, couldn't get off the sofa, and wanted to eat constantly. Once I got rid of the cravings by cutting out sugar and the other bad carbs, lost some weight and started exercising, I started getting my energy back. It took a while but I can't begin to tell you how much better I feel. The sweet that really saved me was 2 TBL fat free cream cheese with a little Splenda creamed in. Sometimes I added 1 TBL peanut butter and Lite Cool Whip but mostly I just added Lite Cool Whip and strawberries. Find something that satisfies your cravings for sweets but with little or no sugar and that will help. You can do it!

I completely understand the tired and sluggish feeling that happens when I fall into a slump. I was also very tired, for several years, in fact. I'm still tired! But not as dead exhausted as I was before. You're right about the sugar. It might be what's keeping you down. I know it isn't appetizing to think about all the getting used to no sugar again but you won't regret it. Hang in there, be good to yourself, and try and get a handle on it. You will feel so much better soon! YOU CAN DO IT!
