Last night/ my day time was a success in keeping my sodium intake low. So Woot Woot for that!

Im finding it hard to get all of my calories in though. I know right? What kind of person on a diet says there eating too much? But Im honestly eating a lot. I eat every 3(ish) hours, not full size meals but snacks, and then three meals a day. But I'm finding it hard to get all of my calories in without eating poorly.

What's good for me, that has a little extra calories? lol

are you weighing your food on your food scale? I see that you have 1 and a half ounces of chicken, you could definitely get more chicken in than that. That's not even a full serving.

Yeah I have a small scale that I use. ( its kinda old though, my mother-inlaw gave it to me.) lol But I ate that in a HUGE salad. so I was definitely full after.

ohh I see. Maybe you should snack on almonds? They're good for you and have a significant amount of calories.

ooh! didnt think about that. People have been telling me to try Protein bars, and shakes. Never had any though, so I don't know how I would like them. lol

Definitely increase your portions of protein. I noticed that they were around 50g and I have found that eating over 100g in protein keeps away more of the carbs. It is tough though, if I can't get enough protein I eat fat free cottage cheese, greek yogurt, shrimp, or some kind of seafood. Chicken breasts and ground turkey aren't bad options either. I have found over all the best way to stay get on track is eat lean protein, lots of vegetables, medium to low on fruit, medium to low on starches, cut out the sugar, cut out access salt, and drink a lot of water (especially when it is hot out; your body retains more water when it is hot out because your vessels expand your body needs more water and more sodium in order to maintain your blood pressure this can help you gain weight and feel bloated.)

Thanks! that's a good idea. I love cottage cheese and yogurt, so that shouldn't be too hard. Im allergic to sea food unfortunately :/ lol so I stick to Chicken, Turkey, and I can have Tuna, and Salmon. I eat a lot of fruit though, why should I go low with that?

Its not that you shouldn't eat fruit there are obvious benefits of eating a sweet peach over a piece of chocolate cake; however fruits have carbohydrates in them from the natural sugars. Sugar is a very easy substance for the body to absorb and it is most readily through your muscles. Most people think I am eating fruit and vegetables and I eat enough to fulfill my recommended servings for the day but in actuality they had 1 serving of vegetables and a ton of sugary fruit. I eat a lot of fruit and hardly any vegetables and I know if I want to get off these last pounds I am going to have to change that. Fruit is now my new chocolate cake and I try to not eat dessert more than twice a day!

I love fruit, I also love nuts, If I were the boss of you (which I am not) I would make you eat breakfast.. AND since I am on a fiber kick.. I would encourage you to get more fiber as well.. :) right now I love 1/2 c oatmeal with a TBL of flax seeds in it. 1/2 cup milk and 1/2 tsp cinnamon and some splenda to taste.

Lots of great advice there! I second the nuts idea. Almonds or pistachios. Definitely an easy way to add calories. A serving of nuts is pretty small. Apples and peanut butter. Fruit adds up, but personally I eat about 3 pieces a day and it's fine. A piece of string cheese. Btw, I was just reading your bio and you are gorgeous no matter what your weight :)
