Good morning!

Ahhh, it's FINALLY Friday! It's been such a long week. I've had two nights teaching and a night out for a jam session already, and last night I just konked out early. Wife and I were fast asleep at 7:15 PM. :)

I needed the sleep, though, and I got it. I slept 8½ hours and I feel great today.

I was hungry for EVERYTHING yesterday. I definitely ate more than I initially planned, but I made damn sure that I didn't go over RDI. I actually had like 100 calories left, so it's all good.

My only issue in that is that I had planned to have around 600 leftover calories. Meh.

There is no breakfast for me this morning. No coffee either. Not even water. It sucks.

I'm gonna have that "check-up" at the gym, have them weigh me and do the fat percentage and all. I'm curious as to how they measure me compared to what I did this morning. Until then, no anything, and no exercise.

I will spend an hour at work - leaving in a few minutes - before going to the gym. Then back to work to finish my work day. I'm gonna skip out a little early, use some of my comp time, and Wife and I will most likely go to Copenhagen this afternoon - just to do something different.

This of course means that we're gonna dine out, but I think I've got it all down.

My breakfast (after checkup and workout) will simply be two boiled eggs. They'll give me protein and fill me up reasonably.

Lunch will be a huge orange. Not too bad. I can easily live off it for some hours. The trick to this - to make it easier - is that I will have the breakfast MUCH later than usual. About 4 hours later. This means I probably won't need to eat lunch until at least noon or 1 pm, which is on the train. And again, this means that I should be able to go with that until dinner. No biggie.

Dinner will probably be a Turkish restaurant in Copenhagen. They have a lot of salads, chicken and also turkey, beef, lamb, potatoes, rice and pasta. But it's fairly easy to compose a plate of food that is NOT bad, and really tasty. I've been there before and have gone home stuffed with less than a 600 calorie dent in my RDI. That's what I'm aiming for again.

All it takes is focus. Right? :)

I'm down 100g today. Not much, but then again, I know I shouldn't expect ANYTHING after a 2½ kilo drop yesterday.

I do feel further change though. Last night - for the first time since the surgery - I woke up because it felt weird when my knees were rubbing against each other! I haven't had that feeling in quite a while, and even though it's a very annoying feeling, it's one I welcome back. It's like seeing the little flowers poking out when spring is coming - you just know you're heading in the right direction. Now, if only the numbers would be a little different....

Still, I know I'm getting there. I see changes in my hands, I feel changes in my face - especially when I shave, I can feel my bones more pronounced. And, not least, I can SEE that my body is a lot more toned compared to last time I was at this weight. No sixpack in sight or anything, but definitely heading in the right direction for a better physique.

Today, I'm thankful for:
- FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY!
- A text message from my drummer - there is a new bass cabinet sitting in his living room. He'll bring it for practice Sunday.
- Going out with Wife today. We always have the BEST of times.
- Determination to stay within RDI on a day out!
- Morning Coffee. In about 2½ hours. :/
- Absolutely NO plans tomorrow.

Have an awesome weekend! Life is good!

...

As a little treat for those who actually read this to the end:

I found this on Youtube the other day. I could definitely relate - and laughed hard! I hope you will too. Have a great weekend!

LMAO...... Thanks for posting the video..... So funny. 100grms is pretty good going after your loss yesterday. Enjoy the Turkish meal... Sounds scrummy. I will be interested to hear your check up results.

Turkish food! Watch out for the oil :) and have fun.

Earthlady, the good thing about the Turkish restaurants here is that it's pretty clean cut food. Some dishes DO have oil, but it's made very easy to spot them, and then avoid them.

Video cracked me up, i keep thinking, WHO would go to the trouble to put all that effort and time to make every animal fat. Tooo much! Can't wait to find out how your results go! Have fun tonight at dinner. I am amazed you are so good at estimating your calories when going out. No way I can do that yet.

I'm afraid it'll be hard to estimate after all. Plans changed, but I'm gonna do my best. We're in a different, smaller town, no Turkist buffet, but there is an amazing rib house. If push comes to shove, I'll claim my Indulgence Day a day early. Let's see what happens.

Actually, turned out to NOT be hard to track the calories at all. I found nutritional info (though it was stated to be fair estimates, as meat percentage in ribs obviously vary), and I did great. I even had room for (shock!) ice cream. LOL. It's time to say goodnight, and I still have 33 calories left. Who's got a tomato? :D
