Good afternoon people!
It's such a sunny and nice day here in Germany! :)
I cooked whole rye flour pancakes this morning! They are so tasty! And they tasted even better with a few cups of good espresso coffee. I feel so happy today!
In about 2 hours I will go climbing. I think I will focus on technique today, trying to practice advice from the climbing expert I got last week. A couple of colleagues, a friend and my partner will join. It's going to be fun!! The usual climbing buddies, as usual, will not join us.
Last Friday has been such a bad day. I stayed at home, thinking about the past, the future, my mistakes. Then, thanks a lot to Rubie-Sue for suggesting it, I went to the carnival party I have been invited to. At the beginning I was not in the best mood, but slowly it improved and I had so much fun!! I have been dancing for few hours in a row, it made me so happy. Dancing is one of the best ways for me to get rid of stress and bad thoughts, and it's way better than overeating!
It's about two weeks I am eating "regular" food again, no low sugar low carb anymore. I had only one overeating episode, and I ate like 50grams of cookies (about 300calories). Not too bad.
I watched Tim Burton's corpse bride with a friend yesterday night. It's a cute movie, but we both prefer Disney Pixar's Wall-e, that we watched last weekend. I like watching movies with friends during the weekend, it makes me feel at home. My father uses to watch 2/4 movies a day during winter holidays, and I often join him and we comment about the movies and talk about life in general. So, watching movies with friends reminds me a lot about that.
I have choosen not to own a telly, in order not to became superlazy and waste all my evenings and weekends watching it. But from time to time I am tempted by buying one!
Next weekend a good friend of mine will visit. We studied together at university, so we are going to talk about the good old times, common old friends, Italian politics, life in Germany. I am looking forward! And there will be a dinner by a colleague of mine where I am supposed to cook. That's going to be nice! :)

I really am super happy about my life lately. Some days I still feel in a bad mood, but it's way better then one or two years ago. My relationship with my body is improving. I start to see myself as not fat anymore. I am always scared I willbe gaining weight during the next few years, tough.

Life is Good!

So glad you're having a great day and up times in general about life. I also don't own a TV, haven't had one for about 30 years (that's longer than you are old, isn't it? How sad). Enjoy your prep for your good friend's visit next weekend. You guys will have an amazing time.

Thanks Helewis! Do you also feel some days you miss tv, but most of the time it's fine? :) It's already 10 years I don't own a tv neither I watch it regularly when I have a chance. It's much better for my mind, especially when I have to watch Italian news programs since I become so angry...

Nah, never miss it. Don't really have time. These days though, so much is available streamed on the Internet. And since most of my life is spent in front of a computer, I am fairly a news addict. But if you really want to put me to sleep, stream a show, any show, and I'm out like a light.

I think I would have to pick Monsters Inc as my all time fave. But I also really enjoy UP and Ratatouille. Don't know if you have seen those. I have five kids so I know lots about cartoons. :) (But I like to watch them even when they aren't around)

I realized this morning that we didn't turn on the tv all weekend. If we watch anything it's cartoons for the grandkids or the weather or shows on history/how they make things. If I am home by myself I use Netflix and watch some scifi. But, I really didn't miss seeing any of that this weekend. Of course we were gone all day Saturday so I guess that's why.

I am so glad you went to the carnival!!! Sounds like a great fun time, but then how could it not be with all the dancing!!
