Lizzie983's Journal, 20 January 2013

Journaling again before sleeping.
Climbing has been wonderful! The couple I usually go climbing with decided not to join today for whatever reason. I was angry about this in the morning, but instead of eating, I called a friend and got rid of all the negative emotions. During the past weeks I invited other people climbing, so we were 5 persons anyway. The first hour has been a bit boring, since I have been doing safety for all the other ones. Then 3 of them went bouldering (no rope), so me and a wanna-be-fitness-teacher went on climbing together. She is way more fit than I am, the difference is that she is way more scared than I am. So I have been able to go furthe than she did on all ways up. Pat on my back :)
So, I won my battle against a hard "way up" I haven't been able to finish last time. I am so proud of myself! All muscles are sore now, it's a nice feeling! :)
I enjoyed the day very much. One of the climbing buddies is a colleague of mine (from my ex-job); well, after listening to me, being so enthusiastic about climbing, and trying himself a couple of times, he decided to attend a weekend class to learn safety and basic technique! It seems the number of my regular climbing buddies is going to increase!
___________

I increased carbs and fat, and my cravings disappeared. I feel way more active, actually spending very short time on the sofa and moving around all time. My body only needed more fuel, and was asking for it. Considering my past years of emotional eating, it sounds strange that eating more is not related to emotions this time.
____________

I am asking people I know about jobs available in the companies they work. I definitely want to find one, and this week I am going to start job-searching in a more "scientific" way. Fingers crossed!

Life is good!

Wow way to combat the emotions! I am so glad to hear you are getting more people involved in climbing. It is a great way to get a workout in without noticing. I hope the job search goes more smoothly for you this next week. Good luck. ;)
