jsfantome's Journal, 20 January 2013

WOW! Friends know you...perhaps better than you know yourself some times. All I can say about my journal and your responses, is thank you!!! It really did help.

Today, a friend (a very dear, bestest kind of friend) preached a sermon at our church this morning. And two minutes in... I knew it was just what I needed to hear.

So, ask yourself... "Is this the way you want this to be?"

Having an issue with a boss at work? "Is this the way you want this to be?"

How about a mid life crisis? "Is this the way you want this to be?"

Things are fantastic in your current relationship..."Is this the way you want this to be?"

Whenever something, anything - requires change - it requires for us to use creativity and imagination to envision 'how' we'd like it to be.

When given limitless creativity in our imaginations, we have come up with some magnificent ways to bring about change in our lives!!!

Change does not have to be scary, or negative - or even hard - but it does require thought.

So - 'how is it GOING to be?' - A bit different. Still good, even better, ... but happier, more content... and with thoughtfulness and deliberate action.

One step at a time, I am beginning to wrap my mind around just how deeply loved I truly am. And with each new understanding comes a deeper sense of 'who I am'. It's ok that I don't hold a title. I actually prefer it that way. And it's ok w/ me that I don't make tons of money - it's never been the most important thing to me anyway. But I do consider myself successful. I know one day, I will hear my Father say - "Well done,..." and WOW~~~~ No amount of 'world recognition' or 'definition of success' will ever hold a candle to what that will feel like!!!

So I define my life differently. You got a problem w/ that? Take it up w/ my Dad!!!

Feels good to be back in a much healthier place (emotionally.)

Thanks again for letting me yack!

Much Luv
Paula

Paula, I read your journal yesterday but two comments in I couldn't think of a thing to add that hadn't already been said. So I was happy to get here first and set the bar low on comments, LOL. I'm so glad you're in a better place. I do know what you do matters because I saw it with the outpouring of emotions yesterday. You are an incredible woman and I feel honored to be among your friends. Bella

Hi Paula. I think we all need encouragement, from time to time, and it's great to be able to get it, both here, and at church. Here are a couple of quotes that, I felt compelled to write down, from a lesson, taught by my Pastor, this morning also. "It's never to late to be who you might have been;" and "You will never change your life, unless you change something you do daily". These spoke to me in the same way, the lesson you learned, spoke to you, as we are always looking for a way, and reason to get to the next level, otherwise we face stagnation. One of the scriptures, that this grew out of was: Romans 12:1-2. :-)

Paula, sometimes we are in the bleakest place just before the enlightenment...or is that it's always darkest before the light? I am so glad that you are feeling better. This life is a journey, and sometimes we can just lose sight of that fact. Sermon today was on our walk, and a big part of that is service to God in all facets. Have a wonderful week! Hugs and much love!!
