Day 3 - Happy with my weigh in - 2 pounds in 3 days! Lowering the calories seems to make a difference.

Am also happy to report that I am doing well with my New Years Resolution: Baby Steps to Exercise. Have been walking at lunch everyday this week. Rainy today so my walk will be inside Wal-Mart.

And I am now the proud owner of an exercise ball - it even came with a DVD. My plan is to sit on it to watch TV and exercise during commercials.

I can handle these baby steps. And once I make them a habit the bigger steps won't be so daunting.

Diet Calendar Entry for 11 January 2013:

Yayyyyy Buffy-good weigh in :) and good job with adding the exercise- baby steps is def the way to go, I usually take the running approach but then tire quickly and quit, so slow and steady really is the way to go Have a great weekend :)

Fantastic Buffy!!! The little differences you are doing are really making a big difference!! I love my exercise ball, I replaced my dressing table chair with it a few years ago and sit on it for at least thirty minutes every morning doing my hair and makeup - as just sitting on it works your muscles as your body continually needs to balance itself on it.

Tracy - I remember you telling me that (had it in the back of my mind when I bought the thing). It also comes with a ring to keep it steady for beginners. Am debating about whether or not to use it? Any ideas?

Mine didn't have a ring - but I didn't find it difficult to balance - it feels a little odd at first, but you do get used to it. If you sit on top and the middle of it, feet firmly on the floor and knees bent naturally, just try do like hip rotations to get a feel for the movement (good for pelvic floor too!!) - good luck will be keen to see how you get on :)

Two pounds down and gone - that is great! I love my exercise ball. Slow and steady as we go on the exercise. Mine is a little TOO slow right now but that will change soon I hope. have a great weekend.!

Loving the look of your graph....if it had snow on it I could toboggan down it like a rocket! Love Tracy's idea of replacing her dressing table chair with the exercise ball....I'd need some practice first....having a giggle just thinking what my makeup would look like!

Woooo Hooo..Buffy..Happy Dancing..I have one of those balls..I should do something with it..LOL...right now its in the corner of the ironing room/sewing room/exercise room...you get the picture..Enjoy working out on yours..:O)
