Yesterday went well for me, I ate good foods, I exercised, I put the leftover treats in the freezer (without eating them). This morning, I struggled with breakfast. I had a small breakfast but was still hungry, but didn't want an egg or more fruit, what I wanted was toast. Well, no toast allowed on the Whole 30, so I ate some cashews instead. My stomach was upset, so that usually would mean toast. I stuck with the plan though, and I'm glad for that. Now, we'll see how the rest of the day goes. I'm set to do a workout this evening and my hubby started the military diet today, so at least I know he won't be complaining about a healthier dinner.

I need to figure out how to eat more protein during the day on this plan without only having eggs all day. I usually eating some other protein for lunch, but I'll have eggs for breakfast and a hardboiled egg for a snack. New recipe time I guess.

I hope everyone has a great Tuesday!!

it is easy to get protein, grab some salmon or tuna if you need low calorie too. if you are restricted with fat get really lean beef of some kind. you don't need much to get protein

Howdy! I like to get a cheapo package of chicken thighs and roast them all at once. Then we have "instant" protein in the fridge at all times. Eat it on its own or make a chicken salad.

That's my biggest issue, is for one I can't do fish. That is the one food I'm picky with, it literally makes me gag, but canned tuna I can do. I just have a hard time only eating meat for a snack. I eat meat/protein 3 meals a day, I just need to add more in. Right now I'm having no dairy either, and I'd usually have some greek yogurt or cottage cheese to get a little protein. Maybe I'll just have to try to make something with meat and veggies to snack on during the day and learn to like it. :)

I've had to keep protein powder on hand so that when I come up short on protein, I can mix up a quick shake in unsweetened almond milk, and get an extra 20gms that way. I use the Inspire protein, as most of the flavors are low in calories (right at 100 cals) and low in carbs (usually 2 - 4gms)

The protein mixes are what works for me. Powders, liquids, flavored, non flavored, bone broths, whey. Try them until you find a few you like.

Can you eat cooked dried beans? They are very filling and definitely protein. Not sure what's on Whole 30.

Right now no beans, or I'd definitely throw them in the mix. I also have a hard time with protein powder because I haven't found one yet that doesn't leave me bloated or just feeling yucky after drinking it, mixed with almond milk or in a smoothie. For now I'll focus on just eating good, healthy foods, and after the 30 days I'll make sure to get my protein back up. Thanks for all of the suggestions!!

I liberally sprinkle my day with chicken wings if I need protein. Mostly just because I love chicken wings...
