1 year ago I weighed in at 245lbs. 50 years old, type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. I felt awful. At first I tried calorie counting but found I was hungry all the time and just wasnt shedding the weight and my blood sugar levels were still so high. So I began counting carbs. High carb foods tend to be high glycemic as well so once I started doing this my blood sugar levels dropped, my blood pressure started going down and to date I have lost 45lbs! I am finally feeling good. Had some trouble over christmas.....too many temptations but now I am getting back on track and am working towards that final 30lbs.... Soon I may not need meds for diabetes anymore...That is the goal....
