Google "why the scale lies" for insight in to water weight. Many factors such as: too much sodium, hormones, medications, exercise, inflammation, lack of sleep, stress, etc. all effect the scale. It takes women weeks/months of hard work to actually gain a pound of muscle. So if you are new to exercise, your muscles may be retaining water to help them heal. It could be that time of the month. Our bodies are made up of 60% water, so the scale can fluctuate hourly.

thanks everyone. I am on morphine and have been for the last 3 years but its like you lose 1 and gain 3 then you lose 3 gain 1 and it is driving me nuts. I have lost 100 pounds already but to lose that last 60 pounds is hard especially when you got hit and can't do some things any more.
