I messed up around lunchtime. Earlier I had successfully resisted the temptation of all the baked goods at the MOPS meeting brunch. I had resolved originally to stick with just 1 serving of cottage cheese, the salad I had packed, and maybe half of one of Eliana's sandwich wraps. Instead I finished off most of the lunch since she was more interested in playing. (I did though resist eating the clementine that was there also. I knew I'd really consumed a major chunk of my allotted calories, but I didn't just give in.) I thought since I need to make up for eating the tortillas and peanut butter- the main culprits in the excess calorie consumption- I might as well walk instead of just waiting for the bus. So I left my MOPS group meeting/ lunch play-date and walked about 4-1/2 miles, pushing my daughter in an umbrella stroller and wearing a backpack that I guess weighed about 20-30 lbs. I counted that as 'hiking' rather than walking because it was weight bearing. I know it sure felt like a work out. Trying to stay focused and not get discouraged. I overshot my budget, but I can still have a caloric deficit if I watch myself. Also, tomorrow is another day.
