There are MORE goodies at the office today!! AHH! I was so proud of myself yesterday - I didn't have ANY of the cake or brownies that were brought in. I'm going to keep up my good streak and not have any of the new goodies that were brought in today. Also, I am going grocery shopping tonight to buy more healthy stuff (lots of veggies!).
In other news, I am feeling really emotionally exhausted with my mother. I have reached the point in our relationship where I no longer can invest any more of myself in trying to help her get healthy (both physically and mentally). As they say, "You can lead a horse to water. But you can't make them drink." I can't help her if she won't help herself. And it's been a tough pill for me to swallow. Although we live 776 miles away from each other, she is still able to bring me down emotionally. I am no longer going to allow her to have that power over me. I have a great boyfriend and a cat that I love like he's my own baby, so I'm moving forward, even if that means without her and the relationship we once had.
