Okay, I'm looking in my book for SBD rules on foods and condiments, and it says nothing about honey.. I'm drinking some lemon tea and I added 1 tablespoon of honey.. I know it's pure sugar, so I'm just concerned. I don't plan on drinking this everyday, but I can NOT do tea without honey.. maybe it'll have to be something I have to skip this fall and winter :(

Nevermind.. I found it.. It's a no-no. NOT FAIR.. I guess I'll have to get used to Splenda in my tea..

I think honey has a LOWER GI than sugar but yeah especially early SBD says no. As you slowly add good carbs back you could probably have some occasional honey as it is still better than sugar.
