Super! Good thing for you to look forward to enjoying! Hubby and I are going to Cannon Beach, Oregon end of October! I can hardly wait. It might be quite chilly, but being at the beach is so wonderful I won't care!

Melissa - I went last year to Brookings, OR. Looked up Cannon Beach, that way up north! I would like to drive up the Oregon coast, but it took 8 hours just to get to Brookings, which is just a few miles past the California border. Hope you have fun! It will probably be chilly in Ft Bragg as well. Last August it was chilly in the mornings, I had to wear gloves and bought a jacket. But last week in was warm pretty much all day. Not hot, but around the mid 70's I would guess.

It will be rain coats, rubber boots, and mittens for us I think. Oh!!! The drive up 101 along the coast in Oregon is totally amazing, but it is very slow. The twists and turns are something else! I've never made it all the way south into Cali along the coast, but I would love to someday!! 😁 I just love the ocean beaches!!!

Melissa - I used to drive Hwy 1 on the coast starting in Bodega Bay and driving up to Gualala and Sea Ranch. It was such a windy, twisty, turny drive! So slow. Now that I've moved I live inland from Ft. Bragg and take the same highway all the way to the coast. It's also a slow drive. It's easier to drive to Tahoe, less than 2 hours, but I prefer the ocean! I don't think it rains as much even at the Northern California coast as it does in Oregon
