Yesterday, I exercised a lot and today I am feeling it. I am going to have to will myself to do anything today. Again though, I am proud of being able to leave 8 extra activity points from yesterday untouched! How long does it take to build muscle mass? I wonder if this week all the exercise will counteract my weightloss because I'm building muscle. I may be naive to think it happens that quickly, but I really want to keep making progress.

It can take months to actually build muscle. When you first start working out, you get little tears in the muscle. The muscle uses water to help repair the tears. This can add weight to the scales. It is temporary. You will start losing fat though and that will make you smaller in sizes (which is awesome). Great job exercising!

Hey, I can handle losing fat even if I'm not losing "weight." Isn't looking like you've lost weight half of the battle? Thanks for the encouragement.

You also want to keep measuring your Body Fat percentage... as even if the scales aren't necessarily showing a loss, it's likely that you will be losing inches. So as those inches wittle away, so does the body fat percentage, which is just as great as seeing your weight on the scales go down. :o)
