Great day food wise. Ratios were 65%fat, 7%carb, and 28%protein. Am making good food choices. Have continued to pick up the number of steps I'm logging each day on my pedometer. My carbs were still under 20 so even at 7% I consider it a successful day. Have had a stir fry/crack slaw kind of dish for dinner the last two nights. I find it very satisfying. Breakfast was BPT and held me from 6a to 11a. Toughed it out from 11 to 11:45 and then went to lunch. Even tho hungry I made good choices for lunch. Ate my salad and then decided I was still hungry so I got a roasted chicken breast. Hope I see the scale go down again. Even tho some say not to focus on that, I find that impossible to do. I want to see the scale move. Good night and healthy eating...

72% fat, 8 carbs and 20 protein. Low on proteins, high on fat and carbs. My RDI was right on but the carbs were at almost 25g over the goal of 20. Will be interesting to see the scale in the morning. I was low on my steps for the day too. Too much paperwork today. Got to get to bed early to get rested for the week.

My ratios are pretty much right on to day 5% carbs, 70 fat and 25% protein. Calories were over but steps increased. The scale was up a bit this a.m. so will be interesting to see what tomorrow brings. Tired so going to bed early tonight.

Worked around the house today and then went to enjoy the fireworks. The goal is 5% carb, 30% protein and 65% fat. Today I had 9% carbs, 12% protein and 79% fat. So definitely not enough protein. That may be why I'm so hungry tonight. I joined a steps challenge through work and have been increasing my daily steps. All in all, I'm on track. Making good decisions each day about what to eat and not "cheating" because I have finally realized that really when I "cheat" I'm cheating my self! Cheating myself out of good health, being able to breathe freely, clear complexion, giving myself more wrinkles, hurting my feet and legs, cheating myself out of stamina, energy, vitality and the ability to live a long and healthy life.

I am figuring out what everyone keeps saying about how the macros are the important thing and that counting calories is not where it is at. I have known for a long time a calorie is not a calorie. At least not for me. I have now cut out all white flour, all pasta, all sugar, all breads, all crackers, all potatoes and have been trying to keep the ratios close and the scale is moving! YAY
