Too many calories and too many grams of protein! All the LCHF sites say don't count calories but it is hard to ignore. I wish there was a way to count carbs, protein and fat without calories. The scale is not moving and that makes it even harder to not focus on the calories. I keep working on the steps. At the first of the year I was walking an average of about 2000 steps per day. I made it a goal of 10,000 by year end. Currently am averaging 6000-7000 per day. Some days not so many but most days I hit my goal or exceed it. I am pleased with the changes in my skin, hair, nails. I am feeling somewhat better. I read all I can about this WOE and try to wade through the opinions and listen to the people who have been successful. Please if you are older, slow metabolism share; share how to make this WOE work. I keep reading about the people who are losing at phenomenal speeds; I am so happy for them but it frustrates me. I have not had a bread, pasta or potato in weeks and still am not losing weight.

Lost no weight this month but I lost 1/2 inch from bust, 1 inch from waist, 1/2 inch from hips and 1 inch from thigh. Guess that is why people keep saying that they can see I am losing weight. Hope the pounds soon follow. I am starting to get the hang of the macro ratios, keeping the carbs low, proteins moderate and fats high. Probably would have lost weight if I hadn't over indulged with my friends this weekend on red wine but the love and laughs were worth it. Back on the LCHF way of life today!

Did really well as we traveled this last week as far as food went. I did drink more red wine than I should have but also laughed more than I have in months. We were traveling with two other couples to a car show in Paducah, KY. The entire trip was awesome, relaxing and fun. I needed that. Traveling did not help my constipation issues and I am going to have to figure that out if I am going to continue with this WOE. One of my buddies from this site said recently that she had not found the app for android. I have the app on both my Galaxy phone and Nexus tablet so there is definitely an app for android. I have taken to taking pics of my food to help me log it properly. Can't alway log as I eat but with the pic it helps me stay truer in the logging. While we traveled I messed up my food journal. I am having so difficulty keeping my proteins down and fats up but slowly but surely am figuring it out.

Day 5 - had a less stressful day today and feel that my mind was much clearer than it has been for a few weeks. Calories are a little high but my carbs, protein and fat are good percentages! I really hit the water today. Have completed 4 full 16.9fl oz bottles. Made a fab discovery tonight at the grocery. It's called Walden Farms chocolate dip 0 calories 0 carbs. I came home heated 1/2c almond milk, 1 cup brewed tea, 2 T butter, 1 T coconut oil, 2T of chocolate dip and 1 splenda. Put it in the NINJA and blended until frothy! It was out right decadent! YUM. Tomorrow we will be traveling so wish me luck and will power. Wishing you all health. Ronda

Day 4 - continuing to log my food, the good the bad and the ugly! LOL Today I had 7 tostito chips at a Mexican restaurant. 17 carbs all by themselves. So I had sauted chicken breast with scrambled eggs and cheese for supper. I have been doing the butter and coconut oil in my hot tea and I see postings all the time where people claim it causes them to go to the bathroom. Not me! I love how low carb does away with the cravings but I fight constipation all the time. I am anxious to weigh when we get back after the weekend. I then need to analyze my success or failure. Learning has to be part of the process.
