I don't count calories per se, but I don't want to eat too much because of my slow metabolism. I generally try to keep starchy carbs to a minimum. Sometimes I fail at this because I am a carbaholic. I am on my journey now to try and eliminate them completely from my diet. It is HARD! But for me to lose the weight necessary, and MUST do this. And it must be a permanent change for me. I will continue to eat my leafy greens and peas/beans. Tomatoes I will have a hard time leaving behind, but I will limit them.I hate cucumbers and avocado but will do avocado oil. LOVE me some fresh green beans sauteed in butter with pink salt and red pepper flakes. Also good with Italian dressing (avocado or olive oil base). I drink a 2oz shot glass of lemon juice with a tsp of pink salt when my digestive system acts up. And of course, coffee, coffee, coffee. I HATE coffee, but mask it well with coconut milk and/or Cafe al Fresco Caramel or Vanilla.
