It's been going very good here. One week of 30 min workouts complete, yay! When I stop working out, I forget how much I love the feeling that comes with it! Getting the motivation (and time) to just get started is the hardest part. Eating has been really good. I got a late valentines gift in the mail this week, my husbands so sweet. 2 of the biggest chocolate bars I have ever seen. 11 lb each. Lol. So much chocolate! He knows I love baking and figured they would be good for that. I was so good and only tried a little bit, and haven't had any since. Seriously some of the best chocolate I've ever had. And I will be having some tonight, since today is the day I get to have a small desert. a tiny bowl of icecream and small chunk of chocolate sounds perfect! I also stumbled upon a site called take back your temple. I've been busy reading it. It is wonderful. It's really helping me to make my weight loss as more of a devotion to God then my own vanity, and I've come to see how much I've been making a food an idol in my life. Anyways that's all for today, 2 lbs down from last weigh in on Tuesday, so I couldn't be happier! Oh and I fit into one of my smaller pairs of jeans so yay! They're tight, but at least they fit! Hope you are all doing well out there!

Well I reached my first goal today! And didn't gain any weight while hubby was home. Which is awesome for me, its one of my hugest obstacles. So I'm proud of myself. Did some really great workouts the past 2 days. I feel completely sore, and amaizing. I really have missed doing a good workout. It's been so hard with baby, and homeschooling, and all the other responsibilities, but I know I need to make it a priority. I know as soon as I start missing one or 2 then I just stop alltogether. I've got my next 3 workouts set up.and ready to go, so that helps. My husband planned a nice vacation with a couple of the guys he works with and their families at a lake at the end of may. That's been good motivation to get really moving on this weight loss. I would really like to not to feel embarrassed in my swimsuit, or afraid to even wear one at all. So I have lots of work to do to get there. I've been feeling pretty awful about where I am anyhow, but the inmates of me sitting in the sand playing with my kids is a pretty big motivator!

Doing pretty good, day 7 today! And down 5 lbs too, which is awesome. Getting a lot done, started school back up on Monday so we have been pretty busy. I've been working hard to get a better schedule in place, and was thinking earlier how nice its been to be getting so much done even with the baby being extra cranky, but then it occured to me that I have not felt so sluggish as I have been feeling a lot recently. I do think it may be the no sugar and grains. So nice to have more energy! Also happy new years to everyone. I'm looking forward to this next year. I'm not sure if anyone's heard about the one word new years resolution. Find one word and focus on making a change in that area. Praying on it, reading scripture on it, journaling about it. Well I decided to try it this year. My word is going to be consistency. Something I lack in so many areas of my life. With food, exercise, schedules, and much more. It's definitely an area I need to focus on. well I hope all of you are having a good start to the new year as well!

30 December 2013

I've been meaning to do a daily check in, but its been busy around here. Totally gave in on Wednesday, with all the goodies around the house and being Christmas I just caved. But Thursday morning I threw out all the treats that were left taunting me, and started over. So today is day 5, its really not been too hard to resist sugars or grains. Even made some bread and didn't eat it. Fruits been harder. Was cutting into a pomegranite last night for the kids and just couldn't resist a few berries. But I'm not going to worry about it too much. I'm allowed a grapefruit a day, and didn't have any yesterday, Im sure the few prices of pomegranet don't have more sugar than that. I've been feeling pretty good so far, a little more energy, even on few hours of sleep yesterday I managed to make it through the day. Exercise hasn't been easy, the baby is teething and cranky, so getting a full workout is almost impossible. So I decided to change it up and try some fitness challenges. I'm trying to get to 100 push ups in a month (on knees) 200 square and a 3 min plank. This way if all I can get done is push ups in the morning, I can do my square later, and plank later too. So far that's been much easier. Did push ups and squats already this morning, just have to do planks later.

Day 1 is over, it was harder then I thought it would be, was desperately wanting desert by the time dinner was done, and a sweet snack in the afternoon. Doesn't help that I have an abundance of treats around here right now from our Christmas celebration. I pushed through, munched on a handful of sunflower seeds, and had a nice cup of tea while I did some bible reading. This is why I do better with a challenge like this, it really motivates me to challenge myself to see what I am truly capable of. Managed to get in a workout last night, not as high intensity as I would have liked, but good enough that my legs feel a bit sore this morning at least. Ended up having to use baby as my weight, because he was incredibly cranky all day, I think he may be working on a tooth right now. Had a nice breakfast this morning, the same thing I had for lunch yesterday, since it was so good. Plan on having a salad with ham for lunch and using the rest of our venison roast to make a stew tonight. No cravings yet today, but they don't normally hit me till the afternoon.
