The Keto Whoosh! Dropped nearly 3 pounds, I found out that during the ketosis process, water is stored in fat cells just in case your body needs them. Once your body determines that you don't it flushes the water out of your system.
I lost weight from around 195 to 184 on my day of reconstruction surgery (breast cancer) that was to correct the horrible job another surgeon did reconstructing my right breast. That caused my weight to jump from surgery day 184 to post surgery two days later 189 ughhhh
10 days later I am finally close to that weight again. Today I weighed in at 184.7, and I will take it! I weighed 187 the whole time since the minimal 2lb drop after surgery... I was getting worried.
I did learn about what a Plateau is and is not
A plateau is when your weight has not budged for a MONTH! not a couple of weeks, a month! So I will continue to monitor what I eat, keep a watchful eye on the macro counts, and enjoy this diet.
I have introduced some cardio, walking the dogs daily or nearly every day. As soon as I am cleared from the MD I will start weight training. I see her today, so fingers crossed!!!

Breakfast at the office! I only have access to a microwave so I am limited in what I can make at work. I bought some silicone cupcake cups, and since space is limited I use powdered eggs, (don't say ewww, they are actually quite good and don't take up precious mini-fridge space!) and every day I can make something new.
Today I made 8 cupcake cups and spooned into each cup in this order, pesto, Costco bacon pieces, chopped green peppers, then topped with the egg mixture (6 eggs, paprika, granulated garlic, salt and pepper, and one Tb MCT oil) use a fork to tap down the egg mixture (if you stir you will make a mess!)
I cook it in the microwave, but they can also be made in the oven. Since microwaves vary, start with about 4 minutes. Turn every 2-3 mins
In the middle of cooking, top with a pinch of shredded parmesan.
You can make literally anything with egg cups. You can even make all different types such as ham and Swiss, bacon and spinach, leek and gargonzola, anything!
The best part is that it is very low carb, it ranges about 1 carb or less per cup. 4 silicone cups are 2 eggs, and it is very filling.
