I was on Atkins for 3 years, and loved how fast I lost the weight. I lost 50lbs in a few months. Most weeks I'd lose 5 lbs. I was so thrilled. Then I went off of it for a few months to enjoy the summer festivals etc, and gained 30 lbs before I knew it! I haven't been able to get it to work for me again. I don't understand it! So I decided to give Weight Watchers a try. I lose a pound and gain a pound, so frustrating. It just seems so slow, that I give up hope.

I've been dieting, and working out at least 30 minutes a day for the last 2 months.I can maintain my weight that way, but not losing a pound! So I hope weight watchers can help with that. I'm about to go nuts!!

Well I'm back to trying Atkins again!
I lost 2 pounds on WW and the last 2 days it came right back on!!. I keep yo-yoing the same 2 pounds, for weeks now. Going to give Atkins 1 more shot, this time with daily 30 minute workouts. If the weight does finally come off this time, I will never stray again! It's been an awful year struggling with my weight again. I don't ever want to go there again. Atkins said it was a lifestyle, and he was right! If I'm lucky enough to find a way to make it work again, it will be my lifestyle.

Carb-counting
Atkins has a little Carb counter book, and a pretty good
list of things in the original diet book. Are you talking
about when you eat out? That's when it's hard to know.
So I stick to meats, and a small amount of vegetables.

For some reason my weigh in's haven't shown up the last couple days.

How much is 20g exactly?
You really need to buy the book. It's the best $8.00 you'll ever spend.
Bread is OUT! Google Atkins Diet and you should find something to get you started.
But the book will help you understand the diet and make it work for you. Good Luck!

i need some traveling tips
I found this diet to be the easiest to follow away from home. I just eat the meat, and vegetables, at resturants. I even eat at Mc Donalds with my kids, I eat the hamburger with no bun, or the sausage and egg on the breakfast sandwich. The other diets were hard to follow away from home for me. Trying to count points, or calories eating out
is way too hard. Do you have the little Atkins carb gram counter book? I keep mine in my purse, for those vegetables I know the carb numbers for. Good luck and have a great time!!!
