It's just about time for Day 11 Insanity - Cardio Recovery. I'm looking forward to the minor break it provides, even though the routine still isn't easy.
I'm feeling a little bit drained in energy, and I'm feeling pretty bloated. I haven't been watching my sodium, though I haven't eaten anything processed whatsoever in the last couple days, so that shouldn't be an issue. I suspect I'm trying to catch a cold. Time to load up on the vitamins & kill it off before it gets a good hold on me.
Today, I'm going to try to skim off 200 cal to make up for the lighter routine, and stay away from all grain & starch products. Hopefully this will help to reset my body. If I'm still feeling drained tomorrow, I may be due for a carb load day (though I don't have the tell-tale "hollow" feeling that usually presents itself when I need carbs). We shall see.
I'm just about due for a weigh in, and looking forward to seeing my progress.

Just about ready to start Plyo Cardio Circuit for Day 10 Insanity. I've done some extra stretching this morning, and so far, my core is feeling better. Just in case, though, I've prepared a backup plan if the core work today proves to be more than I can handle. I have a feeling I might not have the stamina for all of it. If that's the case, V pushups & dips will be my alternative.
Overall, the start of week two is a bit better, not that the routines are any easier. My muscles are starting to recuperate more quickly, and I'm maintaining good energy throughout the day. Lets just hope this trend holds. From what I've heard, week 3 is the rough one to get through, primarily due to fatigue. I say BRING IT ON.

Day 9 Insanity - Pure Cardio: Done. Toward the very end of the suicide jumps (aka burpees), I felt a little tweak in my lower right oblique - nothing major, but more than the normal muscle soreness/burn that comes with doing the workout - so I skipped the pushup jacks in favor of some V pushups, which took a lot of pressure off the lower core. I'll try doing some good stretching before bed so I'll be ready for Plyo tomorrow.
Otherwise, all systems go.

For my rest day, I threw in a bellydance workout that focuses on the core as well as a lot of stretching. It felt good to give my muscles a break from the Insanity pounding, but at the same time, I woke up ready to MOVE. I think I'll keep this in my arsenal for next week's rest day as well.
