I feel great right now. I just got off the treadmill. I still only did 30 minutes but I used the hand weights and upped my speed and incline. It took me so long to get to this point yet it was worth every second of the suffering. There was so much agony on that treadmill. My feet were on fire. My knees buckled. My breathing was labored. Now, I fly!

I didn't really eat a decent dinner. I ate some cheese, vegetables, and salami were I was cutting it for tomorrow. I finally got those fatty acid and fiber pills that the Jonny Bowden book, Living Low Carb, recommends. In was shocked to read ghat fiber is the best weight loss pill you can take. Back in the day, I used to take ephedra. It ticks me off that it was banned because people were abusing it. I don't need it now anyway. I have natural energy now.

Yesterday, I did two back-to-back water aerobic classes. The first was more for the legs and the second was a slow one mostly focusing on the arms. I even went in the hot tub for about five minutes after. I drank a ton of water and stretched so much. I took the dog for a walk in the evening but didn't walk on the treadmill.

I think I need to cut out cheese! Tomorrow my sister is coming. We have a pretty big happy hour planned. I'm not that worried about food but am planning to drink. I used to drink vodka with ginger ale, grenadine, and extra cherry juice. Ugh, it was filled with sugar. Now, I'm thinking vodka, club soda, with a splash of lime? I have to start to live again but this is going to be hard.

Finally! I weighed in at 230.2 this morning. It seems like weeks to get here. I can't believe that it was so hard. It must have something to do with that set point. Plus, I think I was way over in the cheese and not eating enough vegetables. I also find the water difficult. Luckily, I can do it now but during the school year there is no way I can drink this much water! Then again, maybe I can ask the teacher next to me to give me a break on her planning. I could do the same for her. It's worth asking! I could also talk to my principal and maybe the librarian... Everyone will see how much weight I lost and I'm sure try to help. It's amazing how different I loom and feel just after 40 pounds. I can walk and climb stairs without huffing and puffing.

This morning, my friend and I attended aqua zumba! Wow:) it was both my first water class and my first zumba. It was a blast and I could do everything. I love the water so much. The pool was heated and the instructor was great. I am hooked. I still plan to walk a half hour. Not that I feel like I have to but in a weird way, I actually want to. I am reborn. I used to be such a slug. I tried to move as least as possible. I didn't even like to stand! I was always craving carbs and eating chocolate. Just one more was my mantra. Atkins has freed me from that constant torture. I don't need the sugar and I don't want that poison.

I bought a bunch of new books on low carb living. One is the updated book by Dr. Atkins. However, I started reading the All-New Atkins Advantage by Stuart Trager. I have all day to read and exercise. I have some grad work to do but nothing too bad.
