Lost so far: 29.0 lb

Current Weight
241.0 lb
Performance: gaining 0.3 lb a week

Goal Weight
135.0 lb
Still to go: 106.0 lb
My actual starting weight was 270. I started walking every day on the treadmill on July 6, 2011. I thought the weight would just drop off. In reality, I only lost about five pounds but gradually started to become more fit. Around April 10, 2011, I started restricting my calories. I started losing weight. On May 15, I started Atkins induction. I've come down about 39 pounds, have joined the gym, and my cravings for sugar have stopped for the first time. However, I've made so many mistakes on Atkins. I still have a lot to learn and want to make this a life-long commitment.

PIZZA! ( ok, just the toppings) do you indulge?
I need to get some of that bake mix. I can't tell you how many parties and houses I've been at where they just eat pizza. I literally used to eat pizza everyday so I figure I've already had a lifetime supply. I don't scrap the cheese or sauce off. I know the sugar in the sauce would cause me cravings. Also, it would be really hard to just stop there. Thanks for the recipes, I'm going to try it sometime!

Throwing my scale out the window!!!
Congrats on the 8 lbs, that is a lot. I think I broke through my mini-stall by doing the following:
-cut out the Atkins bars
-less cheese
-find and eliminate hidden sugars(I was eating a lot. Read the labels and learn the other names for sugar
-take a fiber pill
-exercise more
-take a vitamin without iron
-add more vegetables plus more fat
Also, I am starting to take a bunch of supplements I learned about from the book, Living Low Carb. In the book, it states thatvcalories do matter. I still make sure I eat fat but I don't force myself to set a big dinner. Plus, I'm just not that hungry. I now weigh my almonds to actually see what 1 oz is. Before I was going over and didn't realize it. Best of luck!

Lack of Appetite
I am having the same "problem." Honestly, except for my morning eggs, I am no longer going to force myself to eat if I'm not hungry. I don't believe all that about "starvation mode.". I think naturally thin people go through periods when they over/under eat! Eat when you're hungry, stop when you're not. That's always been a dream of mine. Before when I was binging on carbs, I was never full. There were times I couldn't stop myself from eating. Now, I fell full. I don't count calories on Atkins but notice that I am not losing weight when my calories are high. I agree with the other poster who said, "ride the wave!". Why stuff yourself if you are not hungry? Or eat something small...
