After speaking to my weight loss doctor, I raised my goal weight from 140 to 165 today. She said that, given my build, 140 probably isn't a realistic goal for me. (My sister is the same height as me, and she's 135, but she and I have completely different builds.) She'd really just like to see me under a BMI of 30, which I guess is a point where the likelihood of major health issues decreases. 165 would put me right at the healthy/overweight barrier.
The last month or so, I've been indulging on the weekend and then spending the week trying to make up for it and lose additional weight. It's so stressful! And so not worth it. Besides which, I could probably be losing weight twice as fast as I am now. This has all sort of spiraled out of Christmas, when I broke all diet protocol. I thought I'd be able to do that for two days and then go back to my program, but for some reason I found it impossible. Still not sure why. I've spent the last six weeks re-acclimating to the diet, which has been frustrating. I feel like I'm really back on track for the first time. Now I just want to stop the weekend indulgences. I'm even going so far as to make all diet-legal low-carb dishes for my annual Academy Awards party. That way I can have guilt-free fun.
