I was a sports freak growing up and then developed a weight problem after dealing with cancer in my late teens. Since then I've struggled with hormonal problems, injuries, and difficulty finding the energy to exercise. But I'm thirty now and I've decided it's time to make peace with my body and take control of my health, and part of that means letting go of the weight I've gained. I have a long way to go, but I'm manifesting that the path will be easy and liberating!

Thanksgiving in Moderation?
I'm on a doctor-supervised very-low-calorie diet, and my dietician in the program encouraged me to indulge a little on Thanksgiving. "Have a serving of your favorite dishes," she said. "Just don't have a plateful of each one." Last night was my family's Thanksgiving, and and I ate the things I love, but I didn't go overboard (I'm proud to say!). I ate about 300 calories more than on a normal day. It's completely possible. Today I went back to my prescribed diet plan. I think it's very reasonable to eat a moderate Thanksgiving meal while enjoying yourself and not going nuts. Go for it!

husband left me married 9yrs and 4 kids......how can i stay on track while i am do depressed???
I really feel for you. Hang in there. You are still a good person and (I'm sure) a good mother. The most important thing right now is to be kind to yourself, not by over-feeding but by speaking kind words to yourself.
