I'm from Beaver County....Beaver Falls to be exact...about 35 miles NE of Pitts. I just noticed that the original post was from 2009! I answered it too! Are you from the city of Pitts or a suburb? How long have you been a member of this site? Let me know if I can be of any help or encouragement to you!

Older women????
richiesbaby,
I think you are already making GREAT progress! Another thing I did was set realistic goals. Instead of going from 200 down to 125, I set smaller goals then when I reach that one I set another one. For example, now that I reached 135, my next goal is 125. I've been noticing that the pounds aren't coming off so easy since I got down to about 150! Thought I'd never reach 135!!
Let's SHAKE THOSE POM-POMS together!!Laughing

WOW!Shock That site has me eating only 807 calories and my "ideal" weight between 94.7 lbs - 128.0 lbsRolling Eyes Looks like I still have a way to goExclamation

I have a hard time tracking calories because I do so much homemade cooking and never measure the ingredientsConfused .Idea I also have the same problem that several have mentioned.....dinner!
I'm trying to use recipes from Skinnytaste.com as closely as possible for 2 reasons. 1. Most of them are WW approved and 2. Idea I can put my DH on "diet" and he doesn't know itLaughing

Older women????
Hi Everyone, especially richiesbaby! When I first started "dieting" my doctors office gave me a crazy sheet of paper with a list of foods that I never heard of or didn't like, so I began joining online weight-loss sites. They also suggested foods that are foreign to me, etc. I looked into several diet plans but knew that, as much as I wanted to lose weight, I would NEVER stick to these plans....and I refuse to spend a fortune making someone else rich if I can help it! I was really getting frustrated and just about ready to call it quits when I discovered that my health insurance would provide me with 1-on-1 phone consultations with a health coach to help me lose weight. I immediately told her that I would NOT eat bean sprouts and other "junk" like that! She just chuckled and continued on with her talk. Long story short(er), simply by trying to make better food choices, watching my portions, avoiding "white" foods and kind of watching calories, sugars, fats and cholesterol I am 65lbs lighter! I also don't have midnight snacks anymore! I no longer think of myself as "dieting"....just eating healthier or trying for a healthier lifestyle.
I just joined the "Y" and have started taking some low impact aerobics and some water aerobics but I need a "buddy" to encourage me to get off my "dupa". I need someone for accountability. It's too easy for me to find "excuses" or "reasons" not to go. Sure hope this helps some else who gets frustrated with DIETS. Oh, yeah, the healthiest way to lose weight and keep it off is to lose SLOWLY (1-2lbs week)and make LIFESTYLE changes!

Looks like we have a nice little group going on here. I'm new too, don't get on the site often, have lost 60+ lbs since April, and am still a little overweight......no, I'm not over-weight.....I'm just UNDER-HEIGHT!
I'm losing and maintaining by watching portions, avoiding WHITE (if it's white, don't bite!), and generally just trying to eat healthier. I also just joined the "Y" have started taking a couple of low impact aerobic classes since I've been inactive for , oh, forever! I DO excel in holding the couch down, however!
